Privacy Policy

Arise International Education (“we”, “us”, “our” or “ARISE”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, or process personal data of our students, parents/guardians, teachers, volunteers, partners, donors, job applicants, and staff in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”).
It applies to all personal data under our possession or control, including data processed by third-party organisations on our behalf.

1. Definitions Used in This Notice

For the purposes of this Notice:

  • “Student” refers to any child, youth, or adult enrolled in our classes, school programs, online learning, or educational services.
     
  • “Parent/Guardian” refers to individuals providing consent or documentation on behalf of a child.
     
  • “Teacher/Trainer” refers to facilitators engaged by ARISE (full-time, part-time, adjunct, or volunteer).
     
  • “Volunteer” refers to individuals serving ARISE in project, community, or educational roles.
     
  • “Beneficiary” refers to individuals supported through ARISE’s educational partnerships, scholarships, humanitarian learning programs, or school development projects.
     
  • “Employee” refers to staff under a contract of service (full-time, part-time, interns, or trainees).
     
  • “Job Applicant” refers to individuals applying for a role with ARISE.
     
  • “Personal data” refers to data (true or otherwise) that identifies an individual from that data alone or combined with other information we hold.
     

All other terms follow PDPA definitions.

Depending on your relationship with ARISE, personal data collected may include:


For Students & Parents/Guardians

  • Student’s name, age, gender, nationality
     
  • Parent/guardian contact details
     
  • Emergency contacts
     
  • Educational records, attendance, learning progress
     
  • Health or developmental information (where necessary)
     
  • Photographs or videos taken during classes or school visits
     
  • Learning assessments or feedback
     

For Beneficiaries (e.g., Myanmar school programs)

  • Name and contact information
     
  • Age range or student profile
     
  • Family/household information relevant to program delivery
     
  • Program participation records
     
  • Photographs or videos for reporting and donor transparency
     

For Teachers, Trainers & Volunteers

  • Personal particulars
     
  • Contact information
     
  • Professional qualifications
     
  • Résumés, certifications, references
     
  • Training history
     
  • Photographs, video content
     
  • Performance or engagement records where relevant
     

For Donors & Partners

  • Name and contact details
     
  • Donation history & communication preferences
     
  • Records of engagement or partnership agreements
     

For Job Applicants

  • Personal particulars

  • Education and employment history
     
  • Professional references
     
  • Supporting documents
     

For Employees

  • Identification details
     
  • Payroll information and bank details

  • Interaction with forms, pages, and digital resources

Transfers outside Singapore (e.g., Myanmar) will be done with your consent and appropriate safeguards.

Requests must be submitted to our Data Protection Officer.

Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide educational services, scholarship support, or program participation.

We depend on accurate information provided by you.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for:

Data will be anonymised or securely deleted when no longer required.
